In partnership with ApprenticeshipNC and Haywood Community College, we offer a Business Associate apprenticeship program, beginning in the fall of 2023. Graduating high school students selected for the apprenticeship have the opportunity to “earn as they learn.” This program provides recent high school graduates with a practical pathway to a career in banking.
Apprentices earn pay and are mentored and trained onsite at Champion Credit Union branches across Western North Carolina. In addition to a career pathway, apprentices receive free tuition in their pursuit of a certificate, diploma, or associate degree in approved educational tracts at Haywood Community College.
Length of Program: One to Five Semesters depending on the chosen educational tract and 2,000 on-the-job training hours.
Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors who are at least 18 years old on the hire date
Tuition: Free
Work Schedule: 40/hours per week
