The following restrictions on plastic card use are in place to protect our members from fraud that occurs with certain types of transactions and in certain geographical areas. Please contact our office with any questions regarding these restrictions.
Daily transaction limit on cards
Debit cards have a daily transaction limit of $1,500 to help prevent excessive fraud if your account information is stolen. Please contact our office to increase your daily limit when necessary.
Card use in the United States (with the card present)
Any state outside of North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina is restricted for charges over $199 when the card is present without a Chip Authorization or without a PIN.
If a card is used with a Chip authorization or a PIN, restrictions do not apply.
Card use in the United States (without the card present)
There are no restrictions for any United States-based-card-not-present authorizations.
Card use outside of the United States (with the card present)
Any country outside of the United States is restricted when the card is present without Chip Authorization or without a PIN.
If a card is used with a Chip authorization or a PIN, restrictions do not apply.
Card use outside of the United States (without the card present)
Any transactions where a card is not present for any country will be declined except for the following countries:
- China
- Canada
- Hong Kong
