It Starts With Showing Up
Every September, our team steps away from their desks and into the community for Community CONNECT Week. For one week, employees across Champion Credit Union volunteer with local nonprofits throughout Western North Carolina. This could look like organizing supplies, beautifying community spaces, or helping build a home for a family in need. Community CONNECT Week is just one week on the calendar, but it's a reflection of something we believe every day: strong communities are built by people who are willing to show up.
Preparing the Next Generation
Learning how to manage money is a skill that grows over time, and the best lessons are often learned through experience. That's why we bring our Financial Simulation into local schools. Students step into the role of an adult with a career, monthly bills, and real-life financial decisions, discovering firsthand that budgeting is about making choices and planning ahead. We also invest in students beyond the classroom through Champion Credit Union Scholarships, helping local students pursue higher education and opening doors to opportunities that can shape their futures. When people have the tools and opportunities to succeed, our entire community benefits.
